FOURTH OF JULY SAFETY TIPS

Wishing everyone a happy Fourth of July celebration!

  • Remember Firework Safety!: Fireworks are often used to mark special events and holidays. The only safe way to view fireworks is to attend a professional show. It is important to know that fireworks are not safe in the hands of consumers. Fireworks cause thousands of injuries each year. Click here to download a Fireworks Safety handout.
  • Remember BBQ Safety: Outdoor grilling is one of the most popular ways to cook food. But a grill placed too close to anything that can burn is a fire hazard. Click here to review BBQ safety tips.
  • Remember Heat Safety!: We are reminding residents that as temperatures rise, let's prioritize well-being. Drink plenty of water, wear light clothing, and seek shade when possible. Protect yourself and loved ones from heat-related illnesses.
