NOTICE:
Today, our office was informed that a business owner was contacted by an individual claiming to represent the Eastchester Fire District. The individual claimed that the business owner's fire extinguishers were expired and requested payment from this business to inspect the extinguishers.
Be Advised:
- The Eastchester Fire Department does not inspect portable fire extinguishers.
- The only time a business owner will be instructed to have a portable fire extinguisher inspected is during a periodic fire inspection of the building conducted by the Eastchester Fire Department.
- The Eastchester Fire Department will never ask for payment to perform a periodic fire inspection of the building.
Please report any suspicious activity to your local police department.
